Seit dem Start der Marke Swatch wurde stets Künstler gebeten Uhren zu designen, da sich Swatch selbst immer auch als ein Teil der Kunstwelt verstanden hat. Im Jahr 2000 entstanden dann eine Uhr für das Museum of Mordern Art, welche mit drei verschieden, farbigen Bänder ausgeliefert wurde. Hier ist es die Urversion MOMA GREY mit der Referenz GZ406.
