Die Farbe der neuen Swatch Gent PETROLEUSE war ausschlaggebend für die Namensfindung. Denn dieses Modell ist in Petrolblau gehalten. Das Design ist minimalistisch und erinnert an die allerersten Swatch Gent überhaupt. Auf dem Zifferblatt sind nur Striche zu finden, etwas kleiner für die Minuten und es etwas kräftiger für die Stunden. So lässt sich zu jedem Moment leicht die Uhrzeit ablesen. Die Uhr ist wasserdicht und sie besitzt ein ganggenaues Quarzwerk mit Batterie.
