Die neue Swatch Irony Automatik VATEL ist fast komplett in Schwarz gehalten. Das hochwertige Metallarmband mit der Sicherheitsfaltschließe kann in der Länge beliebig gekürzt werden. Je nach Lichteinfall wirkt das beschichtete Edelstahl wie Anthrazit. In der Lünette sind 12 kleine Kristalle eingefasst, die als Stundenmarkierung dienen. Das Zifferblatt besteht aus einem schwarzen Drahtnetz und so kann man zumindest teilweise auf die Bewegung des mechanischen ETA Uhrwerkes sehen.
