The Union Glashütte Special Edition D012.427.16.082.00 is a tribute to the German racing driver Paul Pietsch, commemorating his racing cars under the motto "Legends - Made in Germany". The anthracite dial features a riveted and sheet metal look reminiscent of the classic riveted car bodies of that era. The circled red 12 is a nod to the striking racing car numbering. The mushroom pushers are in the style of the 1950s and 60s, with the start/stop pusher picking up the red of the 12 and being anodized in red. This color is also repeated on the chronograph hand and the tip of the second hand. Above it is an extremely domed, double-sided anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The polished stainless steel case is fitted with a black calfskin strap with a special red double seam, reminiscent of racing tires. Inside the watch, which is water-resistant up to 10 bar, is the UNG-27.S2 automatic movement with a power reserve of up to 60 hours and a chronograph function. Additionally, there is a date window at the 9 o'clock position.

I was especially pleased that the watch was from Citizen It was not delivered in the usual black box, but with the yellow diving cylinder.
