1) Scope for consumers and end users

The following information is directed at end users and consumers who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and do not resell them in the form in which they were delivered. For the purposes of this law, a consumer is any natural person who is predominantly neither engaged in commercial nor self-employed professional activity.

2) Consumer information on the Battery Act (BattG)

Instructions for the disposal of used batteries:

Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of in household waste or residual waste. The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol alerts you, the end user or consumer, to this requirement. For products marked with this symbol, you are legally obligated to dispose of them separately or take them to collection points to ensure they are recycled. Alternatively, you can return these products to the seller free of charge.

Free take-back of used batteries:

Please dispose of these at the designated municipal collection point or at a local retailer for free disposal. You can also return batteries and rechargeable batteries that you received from us free of charge.

The return shipment must be sufficiently prepaid and delivered free of charge to us.

Batteries and rechargeable batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out trash can and the chemical symbol of the respective hazardous substance.

• "Pb"for lead
• "Hg"for mercury
• "Li" for lithium
• "Li-Ion"for lithium-ion
• "Ni"for nickel
• "Zi"for zinc
• "Hmm" for metal hydride

   Meaning of the X-shaped trash can: Items marked with this symbol must not be disposed of in household or residual waste!
