A tribute to the German racing driver Paul Pietsch, the Union Glashütte Special Edition D012.427.16.032.00, commemorates his racing cars under the motto "Legends – Made in Germany". The silver dial features a rivet and sheet metal look reminiscent of the classic riveted car bodies of that era. The circled red 12 is a nod to the striking numbering of racing cars. The mushroom pushers are in the style of the 1950s and 60s, with the start/stop pusher picking up the red of the 12 again and being anodized in red. Additionally, this color tone is also taken up by the chronograph hand and the tip of the second hand. Above it is an extremely curved, double-sided anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The case is made of polished stainless steel, to which the black calfskin strap with a special white double stitching, reminiscent of racing tires, is attached. Inside the watch, which is water-resistant up to 10 bar, is the automatic movement UNG-27.S2 with a power reserve of up to 60 hours and chronograph function. Additionally, there is a date window at the 9 o'clock position.

I was especially pleased that the watch was from Citizen It was not delivered in the usual black box, but with the yellow diving cylinder.
