In 1978, Tissot presented a quartz watch with a slim, tonneau-shaped case. As a re-edition, the Tissot PRX T137.210.11.421.00 is the modern interpretation of its predecessor. PR stands for precise and robust, the X stands for the Roman numeral ten, and thus for the pressure of 10 bar to which the watch is water-resistant. The case and the link bracelet with butterfly deployant clasp are made of stainless steel. The most striking feature is the elongated line from the case to the bracelet, whose links take up the entire width. Under the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal is a red dial with silver indices and hands. The tips of the hands are luminescent, meaning they glow in the dark, and they have been placed very close to each other. A date window is at the 3 o'clock position, and a battery-powered ETA quartz movement is built into it.
