To mark the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Swatch created the Aqua Chrono MARK SPITZ. This Olympic Special is dedicated to the exceptional athlete Mark Spitz, after whom it is named. He won seven gold medals at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, setting a world record in each event, which were only broken 36 years later. The Swatch Aqua Chrono series was produced in the 90s; the classic offered here is from the 1993 model year. It is a mix of Scuba 200 and Chrono. The plastic strap features various detailed images of the former American world-class swimmer. The blue watch has a rotating bezel for determining dive time, a chrono function for stopping time, is waterproof, and has an accurate quartz movement with a battery.
