In 1978, Tissot presented a wristwatch with a slim tonneau-shaped case; now, Tissot introduces the PRX Powermatic 80 automatic watch series, a modern interpretation of its predecessor. PR stands for precise and robust, and the X stands for the Roman numeral ten, indicating its 10-bar water resistance. The case and the link bracelet with a butterfly push-button folding clasp are made of stainless steel. The most striking feature is the extended line from the case to the bracelet, whose links span the entire width. Underneath the scratch-resistant, anti-reflective sapphire crystal of the T137.407.11.051.01, PRX Powermatic 80 Gradient Black-Blue, sits a dark blue dial with a honeycomb pattern and chameleon effect, silver indices, and hands. The tips of the hands are luminescent, meaning they glow in the dark, and they have been placed very close to each other. There is a date window at the 3 o'clock position, and the bezel is brightly polished. The automatic watch is powered by the Powermatic 80.111 caliber with an 80-hour power reserve and a patented Nivachron™ balance spring.
