To celebrate 35 years of Promaster watches, Citizen has released a limited-edition pilot's watch, the JY8146-54E Promaster Sky 35th Anniversary Limited Edition. The color scheme is "Midnight Sun" and refers to the time of year in the polar regions when the sun does not set. It is a combination of gray and sakura (cherry blossom) colors. It has a radio-controlled quartz movement with Eco-Drive power and a black dial with white indices and silver hands that point to the luminous numbers and bars. This means they glow in the dark. This chronograph combines analog displays with two digital displays. The anthracite-colored case and the link bracelet with a push-button folding clasp are made of stainless steel. The rotating calculator ring, as well as the crown and pushers, are copper-colored in this special edition. A scratch-resistant and anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the display. It is equipped with a chronograph function (stopwatch: max. 60 sec./1.20 sec.), a month/day/date display, a perpetual calendar, an alarm function, dual time, countdown timer, 4-channel radio time, world time, and dial illumination. Additionally, it has automatic hand correction, 43 time zones, and a shock detection function. It has a power reserve of 180 days and is water-resistant up to 20 bar. This model is limited to 5,600 pieces worldwide.
